Being a wedding planner means seeing a lot of rings\u2026and I mean a lot of rings! \u00a0I can appreciate each and every one and absolutely love the stories behind the rings but I was never the type of girl who loved diamonds or owned any really pricey jewelry items.\u00a0 I was more the type to own thousands of different accessories from big earrings to chunky\u00a0necklaces to rings, hats and scarves\u2026.all that I picked up from random places & street corners around the world.<\/p>\n

So when Jason started asking me what I wanted in terms of an engagement ring a year ago, I had no answer for him. Actually \u2013 it was more like I never could have imagined him creating a piece of jewelry that I would love for the next 50+ years. It\u2019s not an easy task! \u00a0Jason has a very traditional side & appreciates simple elegance and as much as he knows me well and gets my eccentric side, I would have expected him to come home with a beautiful classic solitaire. \u00a0Boy, was I wrong!<\/p>\n

I came across a beautiful vintage ring in an antique shop on Notre-Dame two summers ago which belonged to a deceased lady (why she did not take the ring to her grave, I do not know!)\u2026.Every few weeks or so while picking up a coffee at Lili & Oli, I would stop in and admire it.\u00a0 And on one of those occasions, I made sure to bring Jason with me and also made sure to gush<\/em> about it over and over! Jason can always tell when I really want something because I become overdramatic about it (I have been known to kiss inanimate objects like shoes or purses when I fall in love with them).<\/p>\n

Long story short\u2026..Jason took his inspiration from that ring and created an even more amazing one from it. It\u2019s no joke the most beautiful thing I have ever seen \u00a0and I still can\u2019t stop looking at it at least once every 20 minutes.<\/p>\n

He could have never put this masterpiece together without the help of the sweetest Armenian jeweler Diran (who by the way, I also kissed when I met him for the first time!). Diran is the owner of\u00a0 Diran Imports, a family run jewelry business that has been around for 32 years and specializes in custom diamond\u00a0jewelry.<\/p>\n
